How do porcelain veneers work?
Porcelain veneers are a popular cosmetic dental treatment with our patients because they are a great way to transform the appearance of your smile. Veneers are thin slices of porcelain that we bond to the surfaces of your teeth to improve their appearance.
We use veneers to correct a variety of esthetic dental flaws, including chips, cracks, broken teeth, uneven gaps and spacing, and mild tooth misalignment.
The veneers process starts with a consultation with Dr. Kai Liang. He will talk to you about your goals and help you decide if porcelain veneers will deliver the smile transformation you desire.
We want to ensure that your veneers sit naturally against your gum line, so Dr. Kai will carefully remove a small bit of your dental enamel. This allows enough room for the veneer to fit properly.
Next, we take impressions of your teeth that we send to a dental lab where your veneers are customized just for you. When they are ready, we will have you return to our office, where we will adjust the veneers for fit, polish them, and cement them in place.
If you have questions about whether or not porcelain veneers are right for you, please call our Johns Creek, GA dental office to arrange a consultation.
